New Harness For A Small Dog.

I'm going to buy one on-line. It's for a Cairn Terrier. Should I get one for a 'small dog'? Or would small here be considered Yorkies or Chihuahuas?

Why do you want a harness? Teach your dog to walk on a collar and lead. Harnesses do untold harm to a dog's back if used incorrectly, as people pull them up by them.

This dog has me trained. If I'm sitting at the computer it'll come in and hit me with its paw. That's the signal that we're going out for a walk.
I'd rather use a harness because it pulled back once and pulled its head out of the collar.

Sandy you do need to get your little dog fitted/measured out as there are all sizes out there. I bought one for Mr Harv last year but it was massive - next size down was too small so I am back to the collar and lead.

Yes that is where I want - however, last time I was there they didn't have too many sizes - that was one of the reasons I resorted back to collar and lead.

I understand that you only get what you pay for but some of the items on Pets Pyjamas are at silly prices.

I once saw a little pink tu-tu for a cat. Merlin would shred me if I even thought about putting her in a tu-tu. Not sure about her brother - he is a strange boy.
