Great Dane Out In The Cold

My friend's 6-year old Great Dane always loves to be inside in the warmth in her basket. For hours so far today she's wanting to be outside in the cold, standing on the patio even though she's shivering a bit. Her nose is quite damp (usually a good sign) and there's no sign of an upset stomach. Any suggestions?

Does she want to play, someone to throw a ball for her maybe ?

Could it be doggy dementia? My old Lab Toby, began displaying weird behaviour about a year ago. I didn’t think much of it back then, but as the year went by, he got worse.

Sadly I had to take the decision to have him put to sleep just before Xmas, as his life had become a severe trial for him.

I hope I’m wrong but a trip to the vets may give some answers. X
