We have a problem with the cats on our roead, they are always sitting on the bonnet of our car and scratching the paintwork. How can we stop them?

Cats can be difficult animals to 'control' - they will avoid your car if it smells bad to them or by sound (usually effective in gardens).
Lying in wait with a hosepipe might work, cats usually detest being wet and it would probably not return. But they are pretty annoying little monsters and you might just find out the car attacker likes water.
I gave mine a shower once and he loved it.
The other idea would be to spray catnip on a detested neighbours car and lure the cat there instead.
