dogs poohing

is it possible to teach my dogs to only use a certain part of the garden as they use the whole garden as there toilet please help i need your ideas cheers

my dog has a place at the side of the house that he uses, we took him there when he was a puppy and as soon as we open the back door he runs around to his place. It leaves rest of the garden free and clean for the kids and his poo is in one place to clear up.
all i can suggest is that you take your dogs on lead to the place you want them to use and keep doing it with loads of praise when they do it there. eventually they should associate it as the place to go

You can buy these mushroom type things from the pet shops it is a hard plastic and gives off an odour that dogs associate with going to the toilet. I think you will probably have to coax them to get used to it at first as like most things with dogs it is routine and habit that they seem to learn from.
