My daughter has had four hamsters and has had no luck with them. Her first had escaped from the cage and never seen since. Her second we had to take back to the store , the third die and so did the last. They were all gorgeous hamsters but I was wondering how I might help her be more lucky if she chooses to get another hamster. Can anyone help please?
Did you get the two who died and the one you took back from the same place?
If so I would ask to see their records or try somewhere else.
You should always check them before you buy, pick one which looks alert and healthy. Make sure it doesn't have runny eyes or a runny nose. Check its bottom, make sure it's clean and doesn't look like it has loose stools.
we got all of them from the same place and there is hardly a good pet shop near by.All of them were really happy and playful but the one we took back seemed a bit agitated and was biting really deeply into our fingers andwould takea while to stop.My daughter actually wants to be a vet when she leaved Brookway High and her mind was set on it since she started yr 6 at Crossacres and her teacher had a cute hammy called sheira and let the kids take it home for weekends .But the cage was dodgy and it would sometimes escape and they would have to send the classto searchfor him.One time the teacher actually found it peeing in the cupboard by a newspaper!!!!!!
