What is the memory span of a cat?

I would say it was the rest of their lifetime. I think they learn from their experiences and remember these for good.

An example, my cat used to regularly drink from taps as a young cat. Once, she accidentally burnt her mouth on a hot tap. She never ever drank from a tap again.... she remembered the bad experience.
