Hello. Please can anyone tell me is it's possible for cats to get hayfever? The reason I ask is that my cat, although now old, has seemed to have developed similar symptoms. Her eyes are very watery & weeping, she is dribbling & she has a very snotty nose. This has never happened before.
I hate to see her like this, but I am frightened to take her to the vet.
Hope someone can help.

Dogs can get hayfever. I don't know about cats. Why are you frightened to take her to the vets? That is not being very kind to her. She may have cat flu or something similar or she may well have eaten something poisonous to her and need urgent treatment. Please take her to a vet as soon as possible or you may not have a cat!
Yes they can - my mum's old cat used to get it. They sometimes get grass seeds up their noses which cause irritation too. Could you perhaps phone your vet ans ask about possible hayfever?
Get the poor thing to the vet as soon as possible!! Has she been vaccinated against cat 'flu? Why are you frightened to take her to the vet?
