Our tortoiseshell cat is 6 years old, and since being a kitten she has consistantly moulted all year round
Can anything be done to combat this, or should we carry on brushing her every day ?
Any help much appreciated.

Never kept cats but I do have a long haired GSD who needs constant grooming, especially when his winter/summer coat is growing and the old coat is coming out in clumps, i'm afraid it is just one of the pleasure of owning certain types of pet. Years ago when I had my first GSD a police dog handler told me to add a spoon of oil to his dinner, which I still do with Max. I don't no if it's really helped with the moulting but he always has a beautiful coat (when its groomed). Site members also gave me excellant advice as to the type of vacum cleaner (The Miele) for dealing with pet hair. best of luck with your cat keep brushing
