I thought the Mucous Plug was a pinkish colour and came out prior to labour beginning. If it's greenish, then possibly you have a minor infection?
mine was very very slightly greenish and streaked with pink.

speak to your midwife for advice as we can only speak from own experience.

But just because the plug may have started to come away, or if may just be heavy discharge, perfectly natural, it does not mean that labour is about to start.
when i had my son it was a thick red blood clot looking blob and when i had my daughter it was a yellowy green waterery substance with floaty bits in it {sorry that sounds a bit gross}. Its different for all women but i would speak to your midwife. It could just be discharch which is normal as long as it is odourless and not irritating. good luck !
i never saw the mucas plug with either of mY pregnancies! blimey where was i???
Aah, the joys of pregnancy!!!

I started to get weird colour discharges from around 34 weeks as well and I didn't go into labour until 5 days before my due date so don't worry. I was told you can start losing your plug 6-8 weeks before labour starts. It's just the body getting ready for labour. I continued getting loads of discharge right up till I went into labour and it could sometimes be greeney.
Hope everything went well with the midwife and she put your mind at rest.
