Anyone know a good way to stop a large Amazon Sword from getting constantly uprooted by a large Weather Loach? Thought about putting it in a terracotta pot but unsure if it would be heavy enough? Gordon is a good 8" in length and around 1.5" girth! All answers (within reason) appreciated LOL
TIA

its the plant or the fish. is that within reason?

I only have a small, coldwater tank but i still have some rocks to wedge the couple of plants i have down . . .

Couldn't get rid of either, the fish need the plants for naturalism and the fish was 2" and thick as a tooth pick when we got him almost 3 years ago!
If you use a terracotta pot get a low wide one, perhaps like they use for bonsai, and get some aluminium fly wire big enough so that it can be bend over the sides. First cut a hole in the middle big enough to put the AZ's roots through, fill the pot with the substrate you use and bury in substrate of the tank. The advantage with using a wider pot is that there will be stuff settling and breaking down around the roots so the plant can have some nutrition and remain the pride of your setup.
