My dog is scratching herself raw!!!

My 7 year old collie bitch has no fleas or mange but she is scratching herself so much that much of her hair has been pulled out and her skin is raw, Does anyone know what could be the cause of this and how to cure it???

Sounds like she has caught some type of skin disease, get her to the vet and get some cream on her, dont let her suffer ! The heat doesn't help , maybe it is just a heat rash. Keep her cool with cold water over her, this might calm it down before you get to the vet. Good luck, let us know how you get on x
