Dogs and Hayfever

Can dogs get hayfever??
I know it sounds silly but I've noticed lately with the good weather that my Yorkies eyes have been quite gloopy, could this be the reason why or is a trip to the vet this evening in order?

yes dogs get allergies, hay fever among them. do go to the vet as they can prescribe the right type and dose of antihistamine

My cat has asthma and has to use an inhaler.

hi suzy yes our dog gets hay fever eyes she has half a piriton 3 times a day which keeps it under control and yes this was persrcibed by the vet ,she is a beagle sho could have a whole tablet 3 times a day but i find a half each time is enough our vet also said buy them from the chemist as its cheaper
