About eighteen months ago, I asked about having my cat cremated and got some kind replies. My cat recovered and life was better for her.

In the last few weeks, she was bad again, yesterday she was unable to stand, and kept falling over, I decided that I did not want see her live like that. Today 15/9/10 at around 5.25, while holding her, the Vet injected her. I feel so bad; I have lost my true friend and companion that I loved so much.
I am having her cremated, so that when my time comes, her ashes and mine will go down to Pevensey, and scattered on my Mom, Dad and Brothers Grave.

Oh you must be so sad and even though am not a cat owner, I do feel for you. Time to reflect on all the fun you had and remember happy times. ♥
They will not go quietly,
the cats who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.

Old habits still make us think
we hear a meow at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.

Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.

And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them. . . and always will.

think that is nice ♥
I feel for you as well. I love my little moggy so I can imagine how you must feel xx
It is good that you got an extra 18 months and that she was well for this time. It is always hard to let go of them, but we do so because we love them.

Take care - give yourself time to grieve, she was your friend and she was your companion. You loved her and she loved you.

Best wishes.
I am so very sorry to read about your little friend--please take care of youself -- remember the good times and time will help to heal your sorrow.Sincerely .Brenda,
Brave kind owner, as the living god to your dear cat, you gave her the best of all in life and death.
I wish I had an owner half as good.
1rovert....you are very brave, I couldn´t hold my cat whilst it was given a lethal injection........I am a coward.

Move on, there is always another cat that could benefit from the care and attention that is special to you.
By making the decision to spare your pet pain and suffering is the last act of kindness and one you are very brave to have done. I do know how you feel - I held my precious 18 year old (Dog) last year when she was peacefully put to sleep at home - hardest thing I've ever done but the right thing. Stay well.
I know how you must be feeling,i had to have one of mine pts last year as he had a growth and i didn't want him to suffer. You know you made the best decision for her.x
Ho your cat improves, but please dont keep him hanging on if hes suffering. It is hard to let them go
We had our 19 year old cat cremated last year and have his ashes next to a lovely photo in my sons bedroom where he used to love sleeping on his bed even though my son left home 12 yrs ago.
We often talk to him when we go in there to use the computer ( the cat I mean)
I know it sounds daft, but we do still really miss him. He was a great part of our lives and a loving friendly cat. He was a brave little soldier right to the end. xxx RIP
We always have our pets cremated 1rovert. I feel so sorry for you. I know exactly what you are going through, been there many times. Breaks your heart but you gotta concentrate and think about the fun and games you had with your cat.

Take care mate, from another softy male.
