Dog castration

I have a labrador who is 15 months old. He has only one testicle, and i know it would be beneficial if i got him neutered to stop the possibility of cancer could anyone give me an idea of the cost of this

Depends on which vet you use, they seem to charge what they like, however a castration without complications would usually cost anything from £80 - £200....even though he has an undescended testicle, the vet doing the op will still need to find this 'wandering' testicle to have it removed as it will still produce testosterone.

Some vets do neutering scenes at certain times of the year, i'd ring around your local vets and get a few prices to begin with

two botox cost 105 recently down here in Cornwall - but there was a 20% discount as well to bring the cost down.

Guess you are going for a 50% discount.........

About 150 for a large dog with no complications but maybe more if they have to go in to find the retained testicle. If its right up in the abdomen it can be quite a job to get it out. However it needs doing as you say because it can become cancerous in later life.

Ask the vet, mine are totally up front about prices and treatment and never mind discussing it
