can anyone advise on a good anti-dandruff shampoo? I have a dry scalp I think and really suffer from dandruff, which makes me feel dirty and as though I cant wash my hair properly. I've tried head and shoulders but this makes it worse, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated x
A dermatologist friend recommends Oilatum Scalp Treatment shampoo - but it is very pricey. A little research and I found that Simple Anti-dandruff has a very similar formula and is about one-seventh the cost - works very well, too.
I'm thinking of dying my hair again. Getting it cut on saturday so will wait to see how it looks after that.
Another much over looked range is that alberto balsm (sp) stuff... I got it recently as it was cheap and I was having problems with the shampoos I was buying (everything was making my hair greasy) so in a fit of temper I brought the cheap stuff deciding I wasn't wasting any more money on the matter... turned out it was really good and at £3 for 4 bottles, I haven't looked back!
I'm due to dye my hair actually lol, just waiting for my sister to cut it first. It's just annoying, not sure if other people notice it, but I am so self consious about it x
Yes ummm, I make sure everytime, as at first I thought that may be it, I proper scrub it for about 5 minutes if not more, as I am really paranoid that this is what causes it, no luck so far though x
My hairdresser told me that the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo is very good for shifting dandruff - I've used it a few times and it does work - it is expensive, but you don't have to use much at a time - she also said it's best not to use a very well known brand of dandruff shampoo, as it's very harsh on the hair. (and no, she doesn't work for Paul Mitchell!)
