thanks josaphine32 - forgive the cynicism but I suspect it's either a fund raising stunt or a 'profile enhancer' - from experience, a lot of what the RSPCA professes to do and what they actually do are two different things. -Having said that there will be those who disagree and again, thanks for taking the trouble to highlight this. xC

No worries carmalee, I know what you are saying but still thought the twitter web site was intresting, I have cat that had a collar imbedded ( got stuck around her neck and sawed through to her front leg ) the rspca sent it off to the vets as they had not got the funds or resources to care for her, the vets contacted me after a week as the owners had not come forward and she was to be put down in the afternoon, The vets did the surgery and we have had amber ever since,
RSPCA only care when the cameras are there...
They care even less of their employees. Mate of mine used to work for them....worst 2yrs of his life & he was an inspector.
Fair comment J32 and am pleased with the outcome for Amber - I was speaking from a professional point of view (I've worked for one of the top three/four animal charities in this country at a managerial level) - imo - a lot of animal welfare issues are addressed by these organisations but a lot more could be achieved if the corporate system wasn't bogged down with hugely wasteful protocol - money is wasted hand over fist.. I genuinely hope people get a positive result from your post btw and I don't have an axe to grind
They seem to be overwhelmed. I say thank goodness for them they are certainly needed. I've been reading the link posted by Josaphine and I wish I hadn't. There really are some disgusting people out there who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near an animal. One particularly awful one will keep me awake tonight.
