it's not working...
8 Answers
fed up now! been sticking to my WW propoints, given up the lager, and been drinking lots more water than normal, but i've been fluctuating between "lost a pound" and "gained a pound" for the last 3 or 4 weeks (same pound comes off and goes back on!). Thinking about trying something different - WW has never really worked for me before either - I lose about 4 pounds in the first couple of weeks, and then stay stil! any one else had the same problem? any tips or ideas for a boost? xx

Ummmm - I'm trying to lose 2 stone (have lost one & a half since Feb, so making very very slow progress, only been doing WW for about 6 weeks)
It is difficult to motivate yourself to exercise but I found this method works because it really doesn't take very long or much effort to get ready. I started doing it every other day and found that I had so much more energy I did it every day for quite a while. (I went on holiday and got out of the routine :-( but still do it some mornings).
I did it before getting dressed except I wore a sports bra for obvious reasons LOL. Perhaps you could feed the baby and then do it?

Make sure that you vary your breakfast, lunch and dinner as much as possible. I got into the habit of having cereal every morning and even when I was eating the correct amount for the day I didn't lose any weight. Therefore, cereal, etc one day, egg on toast another, etc. Same with lunch - I stuck to sandwiches everyday because they were easy and quick to eat at lunchtime so I had to change to salad one day, sandwiches another, a wrap another day. Also, I remember making up a large batch of point free (in those days) vegetable soup that I could drink to curb the hunger pangs, especially in between meals.
It has been a long time since I've been to WW but I distinctly remember this advice I was given to me by the leader, and it worked! Also of course, the exercise.
Hope it works for you even though my advice might be a little out of date!

If you want to lose weight without feeling hungry all the time or trying to do ridiculous amounts of exercise which only makes you hungrier, then seriously reduce your carbohydrate intake. Cut out sugar altogether and eat only very small amounts of bread, pasta, potatoes etc. You can eat as much protein as you want plus a satisfying amount of healthy fats and lots of veg. After the first few days, your sugar/carb cravings will disappear and you'll feel healthier. I lost 4 stone this way and have effortlessly kept it off for years. Good luck!
