Feeling Guilty
50 Answers
I found a tiny little lizard in the garden today. As I was doing a lot of digging up where I found him I picked him up and moved him to another part of the garden. Now I feel really guilty that I might have seperated him from any little family he might have had with him. Do lizards come in groups and would they easily find their way back to each other?

You're probably right about it being a newt. It barely moved at all actually but I put the down to being scared as I had probably just flicked it out from where it was happy onto the soil. He stayed very still in my hand while I was showing the neices and nephews then just scampered away when I put him down.

Quassia, I don't dress strangly!......but do feed any strays that come around to my home!......we are now friends, and they do trust me, and some of them let me stroke them, if they look ill, then I do try to get them to the vet, if they are too wild, then I get the Cats Protection Society to help me to catch them and get them there, so sad that we still strays, mostly due to owners leaving, and leaving the poor cats behind!......

Quassia, ok, maybe I am a little bit eccentric!.....my friends know it, so do I really, but rarely admit it!................lol......live my life my way!.......may be a little different!................but hey! who cares, my grandchildren call me 'cool nanny' and I am flattered!.....even though I'm sure they mean 'crazy nanny'........
as it was such a nice afternoon yesterday, i went out for a spin in the car..
tootling along i was, along a busy main road when i spotted a bird,
maybe it was a pigeon, sitting on the ground, in the centre of the road, on some chevrons!..
obviously he was injured, the poor thing, and i so wanted to stop and pick it up and move it onto the grass verge or something, before one of the many trundling lorries or cars, drove over it..
but i was unable to stop, as the road was too busy..
and i think idve been squashed before the damn pigeon, if idve tried venturing over to it, dodging in and out of traffic... !
so yes, evian, i understand how you later felt about the little creature in your garden. it kind of plays on your mind a bit doesnt it?
but, like the others have said, im sure the little fella is back with its family now, all safe n sound.
hope so anyway :o)
