Hello .Can anybody tell me why Ive hardly seen any birds in my garden ,and the bird seed and fat balls have hardly been touched ?Last week my neighbour had a lot of trees cut down and it was very noisy for about six hours ,his trees were very overgrown .Also there has been a cat constantly in my garden and I found a dead pigeon on my lawn yesterday.Thankyou for any replies.

Well glen you have answered your own question really: trees cut down which provided food and cover for the birds and a cat in your garden. I would try and discourage the cat as you don't want your feathered visitors to become food for the cat.
Lots of birds will still be feeding in the countryside but will soon be back as it gets colder. Please continue feeding...

Good luck and it's great that you are looking after our birds:-)

Don't worry-it's not unusual at this time of year for most of the garden birds to disappear!, they're off gorging on all the Autumnal fruits, berry's etc., they'll soon be back when it's all gone-just remember to leave out a token amount of bird food in the garden so they can see where to return to for a regular meal!
Hope this helps :)
