Unfortunately ASBO has eaten something caustic which has blistered his mouth. I took him to the vets tonight as he was salivating beyond words. He had an antibiotic shot to deal with the blisters in his mouth and I am meant to give him pain killers. Unfortunately (and despite my strict instructions to the contrary), whilst I was preparing the nursery wing, no 1 step son let him out. So now poorly ASBO is at large and his Slave is feeling quite helpless and bereft!

<<<<<<<Oh and my avatar is my gorgeous ginger boy!!!!
am crossing fingers now, barmaid.

hope he comes back ok.
Fingers and toes crossed, please keep us updated (and warn all dog walkers)
I hope he is feeling sufficiently sorry for himself that he doesn't assault any unassuming dogs on their evening constitutional and he makes his way home pronto.
I don't usually respond to threads like this but I very much hope all ends up well.
Fingers crossed xx
Thinking of you and Asbo, let us know how you get on.
ASBO phone home, and if you can't phone then just go home 'cos barmaid is worried.
its not a case of if he doesn't get his tablets it all goes horribly wrong for him is it? I hope not, and I hope he comes home soon too.

Poor boy :-(

I found him under next door's hedge. He refused the chicken I had cooked for him, but took his meds on a few king prawns. He did drink some of the water I had cooked the chicken in but he doesn't look good. Vet says to see what his state is tomorrow and to take him in if no better. Unfortunately, she fears that whatever he has ingested will already have done its worst. Finger crossed for the ginger bugger.

Sad but hopeful. :(
oh BM, so sorry, fingers crossed for him, and you xxx
all our thoughts......
What a horrible situation to be in, I feel for you.
I presume that you/the vet has tried something alkaline......if he has taken fish that is encouraging - try something appealing like salmon chopped up in some single cream perhaps plus his painkillers?
Hope he comes home soon.
I wish ASBO well, I will think of him.
Hang in there ASBO :)

Thank you all for your wishes. ASBO is slowly picking off his 9 lives. Tonight though, he is confined to barracks. He has chicken broth to drink and Mummy slave to cuddle if he feels like it. I just hope that whatever he has eaten will pass out the other side with no ill effects. At least he has eaten (a little) and drank (quite a bit) which are good signs I've also managed to get his medication inside him which should help.
Fingers crossed - poor kitty
Oh poor baby. Sending good cat health thoughts.
