I have a moggie who we treat regular for fleas but recently he has managed somehow to bring them into the house. I have de-flead him again yesterday but am now wondering how to get rid of the blighters in the house. I thoroughly hoovered the house top to bottom this evening and expect this will not be enough (have done this a couple of times). They are eating me alive, as they usually do. What can I do to get rid? I have been reading online and cannot find many positive things about sprays and bombs?! Have washed his bedding and all fabrics that I can wash

Any suggestions... I have seen them, so I know they are still around. Help please.

You may need to get a flea-person in
PS what are you using on the cat?
What products have you already tried, both on your cat and on your home?

Must be the season. Frontline last three times and now a new one by Bob Martin. We have used Stronghold also.

I have had this problem before but we had laminate flooring then which must have made it easier to remove. The house is carpeted so they have obviously dug in.

Nothing on the home - never really had a problem before. Only when we got him as a kitten and we just boil washed everything and it was sorted.

Not sure what to try because all reviews seem very negative about bombs and sprays etc...
Watch out particularly for just under the edge of chairs and sofas - the little toads lie there until you walk past, then hatch and spring into life.

Thanks Boxtops - we took all the furniture out and hoovered all over on my hands and knees lol but to no avail as I have just found another one on me - eugh!
You need to get a proper spray that you can de-flea the carpets, furnishings ect. Fleas can live in carpets for years. I remember going to stay with a friend and I noticed a flea that had landed on my leg when I was sitting in his living room one night. He had never had a cat. My neighbour`s daughter worked in a vet`s surgery and she told me about an industrial strength spray you can get for the house. I can`t remember the name of it but it was expensive (£7 about 7 years ago) but it was worth it. Failing that, you might have to get a professional in.

Anyone tried and tested a spray that works? Don;t fancy having to buy every version the pet store sells to find the right one =)
Well forget FrontLine as you've probably realised it's rubbish. Advocate for your cat, and RIP spray (or there's another one I can't remember the name of) for the home. Just keep on spraying all the places the cat lies and sits and sleeps and just about everywhere else as well. you just have to persevere because the fleas in the house will jump back on the cat and then you have to wait for the Advocate to do its work. You have to break the cycle. It's awful, you have my sympathy.
I suspect this may be a bad year for the little b***ers. I treated Sally 3 weeks ago-and have been doing monthly for ages, and she's been clear. But I'd noticed the other day she was scratching constantly-she was full of them...aaagghhh!
I'd suggest getting either RIP or Indorex household flea spray. They work, and keep the monsters at bay for 6-12 months.
PS-I wouldn't bother with any Bob Martin stuff-it's not effective.

SNAP. That's it.
I've ordered from both MrPets and Viovet...Viovet delivers in a flash.

Just found that Indorex on amazon for £10 with mostly 5* reviews - think I might give that a bash
