A bit of a problem

Well stan is back and well as i said in my previous post, as he has had ops on his teeth the vet has suggested that as he is only fed on chicken, mince, convalesence and baby food, That i should once a week feed him on a day old chick,........... I keep chickens and have hatched day old chicks myself, I cant do it, ( I say that but if stan needs it then I will have to but cant be with him while he does the deed, ( I know its dead) besides that he is that layed back I don't think he would know what to do with it anyway, just thinking if I went to a butchers and got a bit of rabbit that does not resemble a rabbit with a bit of fur would that be the same thing, or would it be too tough on his remaining teeth.
ratter if you are about please put your input, hopefully you will have your new battery hens and hopefully know where I am coming from, I also have 3 x batteries,

I would certainly feed him on chicken, mince it or cut it up very fine, if he copes with that then introduce rabbit, I'm no vet but I don't really see the point of the chicks. Some butchers sell minced meat for pets, if he is used to eating raw meat that would be a good idea a bit later in his recovery.
