Kept me company all night, I slept downstairs as i was half expecting my husband to be back very late with our little one as she simply would not settle.
So i slept downstairs in the living room on a bed made of sofa cushions and my daughters large cwtchy blanket. Sprite moved his cushion so he was next to me and every so often gave me a nudge or if i moved a gentle pat with his paw as if to reassure me.
For all his faults he truly is my little man :)
I don't know firewatch, we'd both love another dog especially a GSD, but we both know with our various health problems and things neither of us is fit enough to really exercise even a small dog as much as they need, though it wouldn't go short of love and affection.Still who knows how we'll feel in a few months time?
I have to say sprite is the best thing to happen to me as hes boosted my confidence and helped me loose weight (just over 2 stone so far) but if you cant simply give an animal the walks it needs then perhaps for now at least keep max's memory alivex
Paddywak, have you ever thought of adopting an elderly dog who perhaps doesn't need walking as much and just wants a loving home such as you would give it. I too am not fit enough now to take on a lively dog, but that is what I would do. We still have our lovely 10 year old Meggie, and hopefully will have for some time.
Firewatch, when my husband used to be away overnight, the dog would always sleep with me. I slept far better with her than I do with Mr LL!
Aww lofty thats a wonderful idea! There are specific dogs in the rspca like that and dogs trust who they need to foster out and pay the medical bills for.
Hes just been very disgusting and if he tries kissing me he will get kicked outside!
I've got to join in with this.
I love both my dogs to bits. We are going on holiday on Friday and so they are going into kennels for two weeks. I hate taking them and watching them 'walk' away with the kennel maids. When I pick them up, it's bedlam in the car all the way back home.
