Waterproof rabbit hutch cover........

How hard can it be to get one?? The hutch is about 6 weeks old and from Petsathome store, who don't do the cover for it!
I've been on Ebay, and apart from them nearly all being new and very expensive, they all have the plastic window on the left of the cover and our hutch has the wire mesh window on the right.
The hutch is 150cm wide,60cm deep and 73cm high, including the little legs.

Don't you know anybody who could make a waterproof cover for the front? My Dad made me one once that folded down when it was raining. The top of the hutch was already waterproof.

We ended up with just one rabbit(long story!) and she is absolutely lovely. She does come indoors in the day but she cant stay in at night. She is actually free to roam garden all day, she only goes into the hutch at night.

We've had our rabbits through two bad-weather winters and they have been fine without covers on their hutches.

If it is just to cover the window, see if you can get hold of a piece of persplex to cover. Easy to drill holes and put a couple of screws in.

Many years ago we lost two rabbits when we used normal plastic to cover them in at night. Both died in about one week. We did notice the sides had been nibbled but thought no more about it. When the second one died, Dad opened it up and found the intestines blocked with small pieces of plastic.
It was so long ago, but as a boy I loved one of those rabbits and it is still fresh in my mind.
