Over the years his dealing with dangerous animals took your breath away. His passing left many with a void.

However a program being shown throughout the week on BBC1 mid afternoons takes some beating. It is called DEADLY 60. I watched the recent episode where the brave presenter handled deadly anaconda snakes wrapped round his body and the head held between his fists. He also took held of a 12" long deadly centipede with a ferocious and deadly bite without any fear. I reccomend you watch this series!

Yes MT I think it was originally on CBBC but its now being aimed at the adult audiences although the time slot seems a bit bizarre.

Steve Irwin definitely blotted his copy book by this stunt and must have lost a lot of respect..
//Can Dangerous Animals Handled By Steve Irwin Be Bettered?//

Steve was an excellent showman but laying down beside a giant python while it is laying eggs is just for the camera as at that stage all snakes are safe to approach, but the interference must worry them. There are many more instances where the animal's welfare took second place to the show so no, the animals were not better of by being handled by Steve.

All aquatic reptiles do not like being handled so crocs and alligators would be a lot happier left alone and have their food thrown to them. They do NOT need exercise.

There are many Australian animals which are endangered in their native habitat and protecting that is a lot more important.
He was irresponsible.
I am not sure about this. But I saw on www.youtube.com about this. Also www.google.com can give you more information.
He exploited animals to make himself look big...as simple as that.
Q.E.D.
I have no time for Steve Irwin or the Deadly 60 guy- they intrude on the animals habitat, handle them unecessarily and I just find myself hoping they'll get eaten by something they're bothering.
Only a matter of time Nox..
We can only hope.
Leave them alone!
Don't approve of this and never liked Steve Irwin.
