2. Take pup outside after every meal and everytime he or she wakes. Stay with them ,be patient, praise when they perform
3 learn what your pups sniff dance looks like. they do this before going, sniffing the ground and walking round in a tight circle before squatting. Take outside as the sniff dance begins then as above
4 praise praise praise, no yelling, no noserubbing, patience at all times
Don't paper or puppy pee pad train them to go indoors. You will want them to stop this and go outside and it is very confusing for the poor things to teach them one thing then change.

sound advice from Woofgang and i can report it works.... Magnum my 16 week old standard poodle pup has only had 2 wee accidents since i got himat 11weeks. i put this down to
1 .... not paper training him at all, he is toiletted on waking, feeding , drinking lots and exercise so he is taken outside at least every 2 hours to use thesame spot in the garden
2. i found leaving a "number 2 (FRESH) " in the spot that you want him to use means they soon learn where you want them to go.
3 as woofgang says it takes time ,patience and lots of praise but they soon learn and life does get easier .... if they do mess indoors "No-Stain" is a good product to useand another good tip is to dowse the soiled area once cleaned with neat white vinegar they hate the smell and therefore avoid soiling area again
