The animal section sure has been running slow lately...so I've got a question:

Why are dogs lips black? (when ours are red)?

What a very cute pup! But now I am still curious as to the answer of black and red.....
It's all down to pigmentation. Explains it here:

I've seen her pic before, she's gorgeous...

Thanks lozzz and rampart for the compliment on my pup...

and Fern gets three stars!

what is she, she looks like a corgi?
Question Author

I give you 5 stars mydogsandme! You got it, she is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi through and through...with all the stubborness, intelligence, and compassion of one too!  ;0)

She was hard to find here in the States, I think they are more popular in the UK?

I think parker might have some corgi in him, he came from wales and has short little "queen anne" legs and huge paws.

awww...lozzz,

Have a seen a picture of Parker before? I love the corgi legs...and I've never heard them called Queen Anne legs before either, that's cute! I call her a low-rider...haha

Due to my computer incompetance,I am still attempting to put a pic of parker on,without asking mr lozzzz for help(he will only take over)..But when I do you can see how odd he is, we think he has corgi, collie, some kind of terrier and possibly german shepherd in him, his body is really long, short stumpy legs, thick neck mane, tiny terrier head (we call him pin head sometimes)with a tusky beard and a huge bushy tail that was sort of plonked on at the end, hes really clever (knows lots of tricks) but the terrier part is always there letting him down, he isn't the sort of dog I wanted but no one else did so we sort of fostered him for a while and they didn't want him back. I wouldn't swap him for anything...

sorry get a bit rambly where paker is concerned..
