I have a crow, or (crows I cannot say it is the same one every time), he picks up bread from the lawn and it must be a bit stale because he puts it in the bird bath each time to soften it before eating,....... intelligent or what ?

Nellie, we have crows that do that in our garden too. Remarkable birds, aren't they!

Crows have also done similar when camping in our tent.
Crows have picked up bread thrown that they have found and hidden it behind the markers that have numbers on to number our pitches.
Have found this unbelievable. So intelligent them crows.

I find the birds round here seem to like the bread softened and will often wait for it to be rained on before feasting on it.

I've put some crashed fat balls out for them so am waiting for the feeding fury to descend!
