I have had a goldfish for over 2 years and it shares a bowl with another goldfish and a shubumkin but in the last few months it has turned from a glowing orange to white. The fish doesn;t look ill and is as active as it ever was. I was just wondering if this was common in Goldfish?

Thanks

My friend has told me that it could be Scale Problems. He says that the fish will seem perfectly fine but the problems isnt good for it. It wont kill it but just get it checked out

Yes...goldish can often change colour as can koi. Water conditions are the main factors...usually temperature or a change in pH.

As long as they're healthy and water changes are carried out, all will be fine

One of ours did exactly the same thing about 18 months ago. It has never shown any signs of ill-health or distress, and it's now beginning to turn orange again.  Its companion has stayed orange the whole time, so it's obviously nothing in the food or water.
