Sick Cat

There are rotten people in this world. My cat is at the vet. The vet says he is bleeding in the stomach and most likely has been kicked by someone. He is having an operation now.

Any adult doing something like this to a cat is a disgrace to our species. Cats may have a big attitude problem and a huge personality but they are small animals.

Maybe they should start playing with cats that are nearer their own size.

God, I'd be devastated if that happened to a pet of mine, I'd want to kill the person who did it. I am so very sorry for your loss. Poor little puss xx

Thankyou everyone for your kind comments. I don't really believe in heaven and hell but I hope there is a fiery hell hole for people that are cruel to animals. Who ever it was I hope something truly horrible happens to them.

Aw, Brinjal, Not nice, not nice at all. Hope you are ok. So many people don't understand the pain when you lose an animal. Easier said that done, but do not seek revenge, for the perpetrators are not worthy of your energy or attention and will not bring moggy back.

What an appalling thing to happen Brin, I'm furious on your's and your cat's behalf and so so sorry. Not a chance of finding who did it I suppose, cctv or anything? Despicable and unforgivable!

Thank you everyone for your kind messages. There is no way I will ever know who did this to him. Naughty boy would sneak out under the gate and go rat hunting by the local shops. It could have been anyone. If I did know I would report it to one of the animal welfare groups here in Zim. They actually are quite good at getting prosecutions against willful animal cruelty cases. A few months in a Zim prison would teach them a lesson. He is in the pet place in my garden and has a yellow daisy bush now planted on top. I just want him back tho.

Of course it may have been a road accident, many cats have near misses or get in predicaments such as sleeping on warm car wheels, hiding in engine compartments etc. Neighbours of ours have accidentally killed their own cats on several occasions. It is possible to forget to check your engine compartment and wheel arches every time you want to take your car out because someone else's cat has taken a fancy to it.

I did ask the vet if it could have been a car but he said no not enough damage. He had bruising on one side and a ruptured spleen. No scrapes or breakages you would expect with a car incident.
