Try investing in a Thundershirt, for the first time in 12 years my dog is lying sleeping on the floor while fireworks are going off. Any noise normally sets him off, he usually tries to get into the smallest space and is a panting, quivering wreck. So wish I'd discovered this years ago.

Hope it helps your dog as much as it has mine, it might take a few goes, but worth persevering.
A friend of mine with two nervous dogs, swears by these coats.
What a great idea. I've never heard of these before. Thanks for the link. I know someone with FIVE dogs, all quivering neurotic wrecks around bonfire night. One starts and the others all follow. Sooo, 5 thundershirts will no doubt be ordered for next year.
A tight tee shirt does the trick for my friends GSD .
