Help Needed, Cat Not Well.
28 Answers
Louis is 16, and had lost weight from being a strapping big cat of 6.5kg in his prime, to 4.12 kg as of last week. Blood test performed and thyroid tablets dispensed.
Managing to give them ok hidden in a small bit of smoked salmon.
Right, today, bit of his food, but we put it down to him vomiting a little bile this morning.
Just now, he made an awful crying noise in his basket, and got out to go outside. He vomited a small amount of milky stuff (He does not have milk - just water), then I noted his back legs were spasming. Brought him back indoors, and obviously will contact vet first thing. He is going between managing a few steps, then his feet going rigid and spasms again.
I suspect the worst obviously, anything I can do for him during the night?

I sat with him all night, and he was sick a couple of times, but the spasms continued on and off. At one time he was trying to walk on his back elbows, because his legs were not working. WE had lovely cuddles and strokes for the rest of the night until the time came to make the appointment.
At the vet he was lovely and calm, and I held him whilst the vet carried out the procedure. The vet was so kind and caring to us both.
I wouldn't mind going in the same way, when my time comes.
Thanks for all the kin d thoughts and wishes.
