I have 5 gerbils two aduals the their 2week oold babys and they usually squeak but tonight all 5 have been in their nest and one of the babbys have been squeaking loud like it's in pain and I don't know what to do. All 3 seemed happily running around earlier. The only thing I've noticed is one has a stump for a left paw but it didn't seem in pain. I know next to nothing about baby's but I've been told not to bother them so I'm aat a loss.

If you have left the father in with the mother and babies the chances are he will eat them!

Gerbils are not fussy and will happily eat their young if anything upsets them.
