...doesn't get much better.....
Baldric arrived home to be pampered.......I watched a young Red Kite feeding with a parent and I now have 30+ starlings feeding and bathing in the garden....
The young are such fun to watch.....soon be wine time for me and more fat cakes for their supper......☺

Bliss today for me has been . . .
(a) finally getting rid of an annoying rattle, from the back of my car, which I've been trying to trace since before Christmas ; and
(b) getting my netbook to run about ten times faster than it ever has up to now by following the instructions in a video I posted to help another ABer yesterday.

Enjoy Cats, Viv....love the costumes....
Parents must be exhausted......the young are so much bigger and a lot less frazzled looking as you say....
Honda solved an annoying rumble in my car, Chris....when they removed, from under the seat, the tin of soup that had escaped my shopping bag.... red face here.......☻

I just hope that they didn't say "We charge for a minimum of one hour's labour, at £80 plus VAT, so that will be £96, please - oh, and enjoy your soup!"
Having spent many hours recently rearranging everything in the boot (in case there was something in there rattling) and going for a test drive, then taking everything out of the boot and going for a test drive, then tightening up the spare wheel and going for a test drive, . . . etc . . . etc . . . etc, I finally went down to my local garage and asked if they'd got any ideas.
The guy said "I can't look at it right now but bring it in any time tomorrow and I'll see if I can sort it out. It will probably turn out to be the lock that's rattling though; it nearly always is".
So I took it away and found out that, because it was badly in need of lubrication, the catch on the lock wasn't fully engaging with the bit that it was meant to meet up with, causing the rattling. A quick squirt of WD40 was all that was needed to fix the problem! (I dropped 4 cans of Stella into the garage later on though, to thank the guy for his tip).

JJ - could you not have Skype phoned her? It will need someone more technically knowledgeable that me to explain it
I actually had a good day. Afternoon nap with my wee boy and his sister which was nice.
Nothing went wrong and no Black Dog visits so an okay day. However there is banging and feline swearing from upstairs ~ anything is possible.
