Amazing, anyone see that on Autumn watch last night, it looked just like an eight legged fluffy dice

Yes, wasn't it amazing .. ?
I think I'd have a fit if that ran across my living room carpet, as stunning as it is !
I despise spiders but I could cope with that, it's really pretty and quite small
Someone seems to have spotted it.
Ain't nature grand ....

Oops !
Didn't watch it but just looked at image that Baldric put up. Isn't it wonderful? I don't particularly like spiders but what a awesome sight! We are so lucky to have such wonders of creation.
Good link from Baldric. Just a quick message. Up here in N.Wales over the last few days we have had hundreds of Ladybirds appear. They for some reason tend to be all over the windows and glass panels of the doors, "She who must be obeyed" came in and said that they had them all over the office windows at here work place after we had them at home. Other work colleagues had also noticed the same phenomena at home. End of October!
I seen a ladybird climbing up the side of my fridge yesterday. I thought what the hell is that still doing around??
Togo it's the same in Stoke. One of my aunties rang me and told me that she was shoveling up hundreds of ladybirds from her window sills on a daily basis

We have had a few here but not what you'd call a plague.
Some ladybird species hibernate over winter. All they are doing is trying to find a warm place to kip.
Hi melv, yes I know that most of them try to Hibernate, but I have never seen so many so late in the year. Must all be late getting their heads down what with the warm weather. Maybe swarming now warns that it is going to get cold any time soon. :((
Indeed Togo, I live east of you and we've been inundated with ladybirds over the last couple of days.

In regards to the spider I concur with Prudie, I don't like them at all but there was something endearing about the one on Autumnwatch and I hope it thrives.
