...doesn't it?

Sitting in my garden watching the bees, frogs, tadpoles and late birds and remembering how I did this with my children, many years ago...and then the grandchildren......

There's no enjoyment tonight when I think of the little eight year old who went to the concert, she must have been so excited....and now she is dead.....she'll never have this pleasure because of a sick *** who, in a good world, wouldn't have drawn breath.....

I'm in a cross mood, aren't I....think I'll have a glass of wine and go to bed..... :-(

It's horrendous to think about isn't it - one minute joyous excitement, the next..............

It is, Mamya.....and I saw your post about your granddaughter...

These are not conversations we should be having to have....too much for them to take in and understand..... :-(
No they aren't.
Knocked me for six this morning, got in the car to go to work radio came on and they where talking about last nights Manchester atrocity.
It was the first I'd heard about it, I could hardly believe my ears.

I was up late last night, Tony....noodling on here and with friends about the bug in my kitchen then it was posted....Baldric I think...I just couldn't believe it.....
Should have been off early to the gym but couldn't face the cheery music and banter...if there was any today....so very sad.....x
It's horrific. I don't usually post on these threads as there really aren't any words.
It's awful - I saw some kids walking home from school with their mum today - probably about the same age as some of the victims and I just wanted to cry.
Knocked me for six as well gness. My youngest is 8 and loves her music..Made me think of her..So sad, how do parent deal with it :o( I'm having a glass of wine and wont be late out of bed either xxx
I'm on holiday and was horrified when I turned on the news. I'm scared for my children. My son is desperate to move to London and I'm desperate for him to stay put.

I'm worried for my children, they work in a big city, travel from airports frequently ,but unlike me will not let any terrorist attack affect their lives .
I understand people's concerns for their grownup children living and working in big cities. My son works in London. But anything could happen anywhere and at any time. The chances of any one person being a victim of a terrorist attack are extremely small. Of course we live in worrying times, but we have to let our kids follow their dreams.

I'm devastated for the families who lost loved ones in Manchester. Just so horrendous.
I'm meant to be going to the 02 in two weeks times and I seriously don't want to go now.

I think we all do that, Clover......it would just be good to know they can follow their dreams without worrying.....and I do worry about mine and where they are.....usually for work.....
Yes, anything could happen to them anywhere, but it should't be at the hands of maniacs who are changing the way we live and feel no matter how often we say we won't let them.....

I'll be in places that could make easy targets next week, Smow.....I'll go but not quite with the carefree attitude I have in past years....x
My granddaughter is 8, same age as that little girl. Her mum tried to get tickets for the two of them to go to the upcoming Little Mix concert, I am so glad they're sold out. I know we shouldn't change our ways as that means "they" have won etc. but I'd quite happily wrap all my grandkids in cotton wool!!
Question Author
I know just how you feel, Horselady.......you want the joy of seeing them enjoying growing and having new experiences....but that joy is being taken from us now.....some days I could just take mine away somewhere safe...but that's no life either.......I hate having this hanging over our kids and grandkids lives and future....x
I so agree Gness.xx
