The suspicion will be, if he does not, that either he secretly approves, but naturally is embarrassed to say so, or he secretly disapproves, but does not want to alienate his "campaigning" colleagues on the left.

Of course the power grab by the Venezuelan President by way of a spurios referendum mirrors exactly what President Erdogan has done in Turkey. There was no condemnation of Erdogan by May. In fact her first overseas trip as Prime Minister saw her brown nosing the Islamist dictator.
And she spoke of her hope to “intensify” relations with Saudi in the post-Brexit world. //
