Further to my question last week, at the weekend, myself and my partner rescued a 5 month old Cairn x Westie puppy, and she's beautiful and well trained and has fitted right in! My current dog, Willis, is a 3.5 year old Cairn x Jack Russel and changes between indifferent and snuggling / playing with her. But it's only day 3!

Thank you to everyone's advice last week. It feels like the right decision! :-)

She is so far better trained that my current dog, who is as stubborn as they get. So hopefully she'll teach him a thing or two about obedience! Out at the moment and keeping an eye on them via the doggy spy camera, and they're both napping. Ahh, perfect!
Lovely to hear - best wishes
Just make sure you get her speyed when she's older or you will end up with a whole family! Ha Ha !

My Willis is only 'half a man' as it is, so no worries there... but getting her spayed will be top of the list when she's ready. Will be booking her into the vets this week for a health check, and asking for their advice as she's only 5 months old.
OH that's great. As much as the puppies would be sooo cute, not very practical.

I did the same as you, I had 1 one of each but got them both neutered, they are much happier.
How lovely. It's funny when established dogs act all aloof towards newcomers - deep down their brimming with curiosity.

That's really good news especially for the Pup, Good Luck with her.

NoM you're so right, he's acting aloof but still wagging his tail hehe, so I know he's just pretending to be cool!
