Vanish

Has anyone else had this problem with the product Vanish. I had the misfortune to get a stain on a new blouse, having seen the advert on tv showing how to remove a stain I followed the instructions doing a test first to make sure the blouse was colour fast. I now have a pink blouse with a lovely white circle where the colour has completely disappeared. Be warned

not vanish but a similar product...took the colour out of a very expensive embroidered sheet.

Presumably you tested on part of the garment not visible when worn.

yes old _geezer I did, I don't know if the fact that the area tested was thicker than the place where the grease spot was(part of the side hem) had anything to it being unaffected, but it has been an expensive lesson.
