Bad Paint Smell

My husband painted the walls & ceiling of our porch with old paint..we now have an awful smell of cat pee..please does anyone know how we can get rid of smell & is it usual for this to happen?

Try to save money using up old paint and urine trouble.

If it was old emulsion paint, and not oil based paint, the water content does stagnate eventually and hence the bad smell.

Febreeze ? Not that I've ever bought it.
It's warmer weather so open windows and air at every opportunity ?
