A mountain Lion is, by nature, no more aggressive than our house cats. But given that it is a helluva lot bigger any incident or attack could end badly. My heart tells me that the Lion was not to blame and should have been left alone. My brain tells me that the Lion has lost its fear of humans and that could turn fatal. Its pretty stupid to run a park that allows Big Cats...

No. Mountain Lion is doing what he does.

Parents should be punished for neglect. Imagine letting a three year old get mauled by a lion in the middle of a cali wilderness park where there are predators.

3 year olds should not be on the floor in the middle of the wilderness.
Sarcasm.....
Canary - // Cat "behaves naturally" and has to be put down.

How I wish that applied to all the neighbourhood cats which their owners allow to slaughter the lovely songbirds in my garden, using "natural behaviour" as an excuse. //

I think there might me a SLIGHT difference there - can you spot it?

^ Excellent last para.
I’d agree with animal being shot if the child had been in immediate danger, but he wasn’t. The child had been rescued.
Cloverjo So you would allow a rogue cat to remain in a park until the next time? Because there would be a next time, as the lion no longer had the natural fear of humans.
