First Redwing

Saw my first redwing this morning - weather was frosty but beautiful and sunny and it was sitting on my cotoneaster eating the berries - as pretty as a Christmas card all round :-)

I never saw redwings until I moved to London. Never saw them in Devon.

Lovely Prudie. The resident woodpecker paid us a visit this morning first thing. We hear him all Summer but never see him until this time of year.
