I also agree with Newfoundland. I used to have a Pyrenean Mountain dog, he was that big but they are white.

I'd say Newfoundland...and that's before I saw Danny's answer. Best friend when I was growing up had one. Her pups were bigger than some grown dogs. Lovely dogs...gentle giants.

My dad keeps telling me to get a dog instead of cats when I move but I've not had any experience with dogs. I grew up with cats.

I think if I was to get a dog it would have to be a very small one.....that doesn't dribble, yuk!

Be careful with very little dogs...some have a tendency to be rather barky.

I have a chihuahua x cavalier. She really is the perfect dog (the smallest i have had). Can't beat her temperament.
