Why Is My Cat Part 2

...wasting so much damn food? Nice stuff I bought him because he liked it? Now at least 25% of those cute little tins and single serve pouches are ending up in the bin.
I can't even deduct it from his allowance, or trade the tins he doesn't like for ones he does ...grrr

He's still quite anti-social...I think he puts up with me, lol
He'll never be a cuddly cat, but he has his ways. Head butts for attention and initiates play sessions. Will only play with foil balls...he's suspicious of anything else.
Keeps my bed warm all day...goes and sleeps elsewhere when I come up to bed. I'd love him to be a trusting lap cat...but I was told he quite likely never would.
I'm not sure how smurfchops got the impression she did...?

Mine have dry food available all day then 1 wet 85gm pack morning and evening. 2 are on my bed all day, go out about 6pm, come in for food at 11pm and stay on the bed for an hour with me then off until they wake me at 7. One took 3 years to be on the bed with me. The other 5 are all over the house, 1 has never slept with anyone, 1 sleeps with the dog, 1 with the grand kids. The other 2 are not people cats. Have you tried resting on the bed with Toby during the day. Just go and put your feet up next to him
My brother and his kids stayed with a family friend for a few days.
During the night my nephew started screaming, he had woken up and discovered a cat up close and staring at his face. He had never interacted with a cat and was a big scared of them.
He thought that all cats were like Frankie and Merlin - they would run away when the kids came into the house and stay hidden until they left.
I don't think I will be able to convince him that they are not evil animals.
