Illegal hunts still take place in Dorset, and police appear to turn a blind eye to both the Hunt and to the violent intimidation of those who try to prevent it.

Please sign now to bring an end to this cruel so-called sport, and prevent these lovely creatures from being torn apart alive in the name of human pleasure. Such barbarism has no place in the twenty-first century.

We used to invite all the pheasants to come and live with us during shooting season. They were all called Geoffrey. There's been a lot of shooting going on opposite us in the last few weeks. Fortunately I can't see where, but I can hear it going on.
///Gill. I have no faith in the UK police at all.//

Just as well you live in Eire then. I like the way you sign petitions that are for the UK but dont live here.

And no, I dont approve of hunting with dogs. I do approve of hunting with a 12 bore though as they do need keeping under control.
The problem with shooting pheasants is that the ruddy shot gets in your teeth.
Your obsession with where I live now is beginning to get a bit creepy Youngmaf. Is there a reason I shouldn't care what happens in the rest of the world?
Is that how you live your life?
No it isnt. I wouldn't dream of telling the Irish what to do.

Yes have an opinion but dont sign petitions, you are so self righteous arnt you?

And call me all the things under the sun, I wont stop pointing out your interference in another country.
// they raise and protect all those poor birds just to shoot them!! //

Why stop at game birds? Don't they too have their place at the dining table?

In fact the numbers which are shot pale into insignificance compared to the billion domestic chickens which are slaughtered here in the UK every year.
Ymf. I would gladly sign a petition about cruelty anywhere. Whats your issue with Gness. Why introduce this nastiness to the thread?
How many of these game birds reach the table. Mostly its treated like a sport for enjoyment.
He does it often MissT.
And I thought it had been a nice day on here! Wrong :0((
I'm sure the majority of ABers live in the UK, MissT.
For someone to say those of us who don't shouldn't sign a petition about something we care about is a bit odd. But then he does seem a little obsessed with both me and Ireland. :-))
Well at least you know it isn't Beakers brighter Brother.
There is that, Arky. :-)
Noone should have to avoid threads on AB unless the subject matter doesn't interest them. As Canary says it 's about the post not the poster.
Today's problem was caused by stirring up a perfectly reasonably happy thread intentionally and then what I would call bullying behaviour by a small group towards a moderator.
Sorry posted in the wrong place

Lol, MissT at 22:23...but it did fit in and made perfect sense. It should be made a sticky for all to read.
I am very tired and ended up here, but I said what is true and don't give a damn. No wonder these trolls turn up. They don't annoy me as much as some hypocritical ABers do. And I reserve the right to post on any thread I want to as long as I am polite.
The troll is an ex ABer, MissT. But taking notes of where the person you want to troll has posted in the last few days then going back to be nasty on those threads is weird and to be pitied really.
Yes its sad. But it's best to ignore them and not comment. But my post wasn't about trolls. What happened on the GMEB thread was just so contrived. And got so nasty. Those involved are never going to stop what they do.
