I met a guy in the street with a lovely little pedigree puppy boy. The guy was excited at the prospect of the puppy fathering loads of puppies and him earning lots of money. He didn't have a clue about the dog's pedigree or whether health checks had been made. He saw puppy = £££££
A well-trained, good-natured dog is a great companion. My second dog (a rescue) was neither of these things and was kept muzzled during the first few years and always kept on the lead. He slipped the lead once and chased a Swan - the Swan won the battle.
People churning out badly bred puppies for profit should be stopped.
Puppy farms are horrible places where puppies tend to not be properly socialised. This can prove a danger to children and other dogs.
Anyone adopting a rescue dog should be wary of adopting an unknown dog if they have children.
Big dogs tend to be better-natured than small dogs - but even a half-hearted attack can cause serious injuries.

Canary do you go looking for these stories so you can get up there on your moral high horse yet again?? Also on Mailonline today there is yet another horrible article about a 15 month old baby being tortured and murdered by his evil step dad and the mother did nothing! Give me dogs over evil humans any day.
