Bbc Quiz : Week 48
Hi there, everyone!
Have you all finished wrapping the boring socks, the ‘I-wouldn’t-be-seen-dead-wearing-that’ sweaters and the 'far-too-fattening' chocolates yet? If not, get a move on! It’ll soon be Crimbo, you know!
I started off with a totally pathetic score of just ONE out of seven on the main quiz this week:
https:/
Some easy questions in the junior quiz helped me to a middling score of THREE out of five:
https:/
Largely so that I can report at least one decent score this week, I’ll throw in a BONUS QUIZ. It’s from BBC Bitesize (which is largely aimed at teenagers) and therefore shouldn’t be too difficult. Even so, I couldn’t quite manage full marks, scoring SIX out of seven. The theme is famous quotes. Go on, give it a go!
https:/
As if that’s not enough, here’s YET ANOTHER BONUS QUIZ for you to try! Again, it’s from BBC Bitesize and, once again, it’s about famous quotes. However, unless you really know your Shakespeare, it might prove to be somewhat trickier than the previous one! I scored SIX out of 11:

Well done on those VERY impressive scores!
My lot have never seemed to be that impressed with catnip. (They much prefer the smell of freshly-roasted chicken!). However I'm pleased that your feline friends have got a treat that they like.
I hope that you'll all have a lovely week!
Ah, well I didn't see the last one, but I'll give you my scores so far. 3/7 (lucky again); 3/5 (1 guess) and then an annoying 10/11 - annoying because I was anEnglish, Art & History teacher! I hovered andhovered over one and plumped for the wrong one. Now that I've seen it, I'll have a go atthe last quiz. :)
Good Evening, Chris!
Thank you for all the new quizzes. It certainly gave my brain a work out tonight!
My scores are
5/7, 4/5, 5/7 and 9/11 (but a lot of lucky guesses with the Shakespeare one!)
Not started any wrapping as yet, but have sorted a few Christmas cards...so Merry Christmas!
Managed to get 3 trees and all my decs up earlier in the week, so beginning to feel a little more festive, plus opened the first window of my advent calendar. Might even find a few Xmas movies to sit down to with a hot chocolate and marshmallows over the weekend, while I do some of that wrapping.
As always, I wish you and the terrific trio a wonderful week ahead!
Good evening, Karamia!
Well done on those very impressive scores and thank you for the lovely card, which I'll print out. (I'm still working on the design of this year's card from the cats and me).
I've got quite a bit of present wrapping done, although I've still got some prezzies left to buy. (I always seem to buy presents for people's cats and dogs before I get around to buying gifts for their humans!).
I don't really bother with Chistmas decorations, although I'll hang up my cards and perhaps wrap a bit of tinsel around my desk.
I'll probably try to watch a Christmas movie or two. I picked up the DVD of 'Father Christmas Conquers the Martians' for £1 in a discount store a few years ago but I've never got around to watching it yet. It's often rated as one of the worst movies ever made, so I want to find out just how bad it really is π
All the best to you, from the four of us, for the coming week!
1/7 v 1/7 "you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy".
That's not a very encouraging thing to say to we poor 1/7 ers
3/5 v 3/5
1/11 then couldn't get it to work
Hope your weather is better this week - it's been very sunny but very cold here Shady is fine, hope you haven't been spending too much time away from The Terrific Trio doing your secret C day shopping :-))
We'te a perfect match then, Elliemay1!
Will you marry me? π
Fantastic scores, Lie-in King!
Well done!
Thanks for keeping me company on the main quiz, Canary42!
(I've absolutely no idea as to why you can't access the other quizzes).
Hi, Haras2!
I don't know why you couldn't access one of the quizzes either.
Thanks for keeping me company on the scoring in the regular quizzes, anyway!
We've had plenty of cold weather here too (although with some sunshine from time to time). My friends from Italy are here at the moment and they've certainly noticed the change in temperatures!
I've gradually been working my way through the Christmas shopping but I've yet to buy the most important presents of all which are, of course, the ones for the Feline Threesome!
I hope that you and Shady will both have a lovely week!
