What is the Sea Sickness Injection called that is given on Cruise Ships?

The injection is Dramamine, but having just come back from a cruise, i noticed many people with a small plaster behind their ear!, on enquiry i found this to be Scopolamine. I was told Dramamine makes you very sleepy but Scopolamine (a) worked, and (b) had no side effects. There is also Bonine (no idea!!) and a few people said Sea Bands worked.
seasickness occurs because the brain cannot register the movement of the ship.best thing you can do [and i'm an ex sailor]is to go on deck so as the brain can see what's happening.worse thing is to stay below decks.or, as i was told, stand under the nearest xmas tree which turns out is a part of the mast from which the flags fly!
