hiya I wrote about 4 weeks ago stating that my rabbit had a skin complaint after going back and forth to the vet on numerous occasions having various treatments which havnt worked at all. My vet has said it could be self harming which it does look like as the sore hasnt spread I cant understand why he is doing this to himself as we keep him occupied but dont over smother him he has plenty of toys and runs free indoors his diet could be the source as he is a selective eater we are thinking of putting him on to the nuggets instead of a mix any suggestions? please I want rabbit karma to be restored to our beloved Munchie

Our rabbit had the same problem and found it cleared up when we changed his food. We now use Excel supa rabbit by burgess which was recommed to us by our local pet shop. If this doesn't work then he could poss have an allergy to something in your house.

Thanks we have since changed his diet which was a nitemare in itself he now has a pet shop mix with some excel mixed in to it. We think that the problem first started when we took him to be neutered he stayed at the vets all day on his own in a cage where dogs bark couldnt have been very nice for him and it may have caused him to be distressed. The vet did say to me that it could return and to look for signs which may trigger it but fingers crossed it wont happen again so thanks again for your suggestion.
