Developing Fast': Britain Facing...

I have a Yorkshire Terrier, nearly 4, he is a beautiful pet but he marks his territory quite often - usually when our 7 year old cat is at home. He should be used to the cat as he has always been around but he seems jealous. He still acts like a puppy, wanting attention and playtime a lot, which we love, but the peeing is getting me down as I dont know what to do about it.
Would neutering make any difference? I have heard it calms dogs down and stops them peeing. How much does neutering cost - we are in Merseyside.
Thanks

The marking will have started as a result of hormonal changes when he was 'growing up', and from that point of view it may seem that neutering will help. But often by this age you will find that his behaviour has become a habit, and so removing the hormonal stimulus isn't always a quick fix.
In short, it's definitely worth a try but don't expect miracles. Cost can be very variable depending on the drugs used and the weight of your dog. Anything between 50 and 100 I would think - ring your vet for a quote.
